"Bully of a mailman"

I own my own home and have my own mailbox at the end of my driveway. I got a note from my mailman in my mailbox the other day that was a proposal from him ( not the post office its self) that my neighbourhood should change and get a one big mailbox unit for the whole street. He said the post office was letting him have some used ones for free so it would only cost the neighbourhood $150 to have them installed and then we would have to pay for own own locks. He enclosed a map of where these boxes would go.
I am not interested in this so ignored it. He then showed up at my house at 5.30 in the evening and told my fiance that the one neighbour didnt want the box in front of his house and he wanted to put it in front of my house. Well, it would be on my property and once it's in place I and my neighbours would be responsible for it.

Knowing me my fiance told him I would probably not be interested and he responded "Can't you change her mind?" He then asked my fiance for my home phone number which he refused to give him. He then gave him his cell number.

When I got home from work I called him and politely told him I was not interested and didn't want to be involved with any of it. He then got kind of rude and wanted to know why not. I said I just didn't want to get involved and that was that.

I am concerned that he's going to mess with my mail now. I don't understand why he is doing this other than he wants to make his route shorter and easier. To my knowledge no one in the niehgbourhood wanted this it was all his idea. None of his communication has been on post office stationary so I really wonder whats going on.
This kind of box would be very convienient for him and not so for the neighbourhood.

I want to complain to the post office because I feel I am being bullied in way. I had another incident 2 years ago when I was sick and couldn't mow my lawn and lots of dandilions popped up. He left a hand written note in my mailbox that said "So is yellow your favorite color or do you need help with your lawn"

I don't know if he was trying to be funny or cute or what but I just really don't want to have to deal with my mailman this much!

I mean who is he to decide what kind of mailboxes my neighbours and I have??

If the post office its self sugguested it to save money or something then I would understand it but he seems to being donig all this on his own and that just seems odd to me.

I don't know if I am being paranoid or overly sensitive or if he is really overstepping some boundries here.... I would really appreciate any advice thanks
